Alabama

Everything we had slated to see in Birmingham was closed when we passed through, but we got to do a few things in Montgomery. Dexter Ave First Baptist Church, First White House of the Confederacy and the Rosa Parks museum.

Highlights by Mom
  • Being in a warmer climate!
  • Seeing the diversity of history play out in one city
  • Learning about determination and perseverance in the face of adversity

Tennessese - Part 2

After going up into Kentucky from the east TN, we came back down through middle TN to Nashville and some dear HI friends, the Ellisons! Andrea, Will, Zack and Kate showed us the sights.

Day 1 was the Hermitage(Andrew Jackson's home), Belle Meade Plantation,
the Parthenon and the Grand Ole Opry

Day 2 was even more fun since Will joined us. We visited Broadway in downtown Nashville,
ate at Jacks BBQ, toured Studio B, visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and
ate at the Listening Room listening to local music!
